Today was our favorite day so far in Thailand. We were taken to a lake near Chiang Mai that is very popular with the locals but is not well known by us "farangs" (that means foreigners in Thai). Leigh Anne and I sat next to a native of Chiang Mai on the flight from London to Bangkok and she wanted to show us this part of Chiang Mai.
So our day consisted of a beautiful drive out to the lake which was about an hour outside of the city. We then boarded a boat to take us to the middle of the lake where there were floating restaurants and guesthouses. After that we pretty much feasted on Thai food, Chang beer, and rum for the rest of the day. It was wonderful.

Looks like a beautiful spot and you two look relaxed and happy. I'm sure it was fun to be with a local and see the "real deal".
